Dubai: The Secretariat of the Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Creative Sports Award has urged all sporting organisations to send their submissions for the 6th edition of the award at the earliest.

The awards may be considered the biggest in international sports considering the value of prizes and the categories it encompasses, not to mention its pioneering role in recognising creative sports. All entries must be received within 10 days, when the deadline ends.

Entries may also be sent through the award’s official email info@mbrawards.ae or through the award’s website www.mbrawards.ae. Submissions can also be submitted at the award’s office at the headquarters of Dubai Sports Council in Jadaff area, Dubai, where a group of employees have been tasked to receive entries and ensure all required documents are in order.

The secretariat will not accept entries, which may be received from individual athletes or sports bodies working in the creative sports field, later than August 31, the deadline for entries since the beginning of the award’s registration on April 1.

The winners will be honoured at an awarding ceremony to be held on January 14, 2015.

The award’s secretariat has to date received a number of entries from within the UAE and Arab countries submitted by athletes, sports bodies, as well as a number of international sports federations that sent in their submissions well in advance given that they would not be featuring in competitions at this time of the year.

Athletes and sports organisations which participated in events during the summer should finalise and send their entries within the next 10 days.
