Dubai: The inaugural $12 million (Dh44 million) Pegasus World Cup Invitational will take place at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach in South Florida, USA, on January 28, 2017.

The sporting event will surpass the $10 million Dubai World Cup as the world’s richest thoroughbred horse race.

The Stronach Group, promoters of the event, has already released the first block of tickets for The Pegasus World Cup Invitational, the first event of its kind in horse racing.

As many as 12 stakeholders have each put up $1 million for a spot at the starting gate and will compete with the best horses in the world. The winner will earn a world-record $7 million.

Tickets are available for purchases now and range from $100 to $765 per person. The venues at Gulfstream Park offer something for everyone, from exciting views of the dash to the finish at the trackside bar, to luxurious VIP experiences and suites.
