Dubai: Mor’Eb repeated his heroics of last season to win the Fujairah Conditions race over 1700m at Sharjah racecourse’s second meeting of the season on Saturday.

Ridden by Richard Mullen, the Jaber Bittar-trained six-year-old scored by a length and a half from Jap Doonick, the mount of champion jockey Tadhg O’Shea, with Barek W’Rsan two and a half lengths back in third for Sam Hitchcott.

O’Shea partnered Zman Al Ajayib to win this race last year for Ernst Oertel.

Fantastique MHF, who finished second here last week, went one better when he landed the Abu Dhabi Handicap over 1700 metres in the safe hands of Pat Dobbs.

Royston Ffrench won this race last season aboard the Helal Al Alawi-trained Ameer Al Sraya but could only finish ninth of twelve.

French however, had earlier in the afternoon partnered Ahmadani to victory in the Ras Al Khaimah Maiden over 1200 for his seventh success of the season in just four race meetings.

Satish Seemar picked up his fourth win as he contined his strong start to the season when saddling Price Is Truth to win the 1200 metre Dubai Handicap.

The four-year-old son of Distorted Humour was breaking his maiden after 12 luckless outings and only the second at Sharjah.

The winner put daylight between himself and the second placed horse, Daar Zayed, cantering home a 14-length winner under an amused Mullen.

“We know the horse likes Sharjah and was a good second here over course and distance in March,” said Seemar. “We were pretty hopeful coming into the race and he did not let us down.

“We had three in the race and Richard certainly picked the right one.”

Argentine jockey Jesus Rosales started the proceedings on a bright and sunny afternoon when he partnered the Jaber Bittar-trained Munafisat Al Reef to hold off Wayne Smith and Huyam by a length and a half in a 1200 metre Ajman maiden.
