Dubai: Online sales of tickets for the 2016-’17 Meydan season and the Dubai World Cup are open with a number of early bird offers available to racegoers.
The new Meydan racing season gets under way on November 3, while the international Dubai World Cup Carnival will be launched on January 5. The season then counts down to the Dubai World Cup — the world’s richest day of racing — on March 25.
The new season sees the introduction of a unique ‘birthday package,’ which includes a birthday message on Meydan’s big screen as well as the return of the hugely popular Dh300, all-inclusive terrace brunches every Saturday over a total of four race days.
The Dh150 theme nights in the Parade Ring Restaurant, introduced during the last season will also be reinstated for the new term.
Meanwhile, the post-race party will continue in the Parade Ring Restaurant for ticketed racegoers following the final race on Thursday race days and Super Saturday, offering Dh25 beverages and live music. A 20 per cent discount is also available on grandstand suites booked for November and December race meetings.
The Dubai World Cup is the showpiece of the Meydan racing season and Apron Views, the location of the Jaguar Style Stakes and the concert stage, is the beating heart of this vibrant $30 million (Dh110 million) race day.
Early birds can take advantage of a Dh350 Apron Views ticket when the booking is made before December 31. Tickets will then be held at Dh450 until March 20, 2017 when they will increase to Dh600.
General Admission tickets will be available at the Ticket Sales Office from the first meeting of the season and will be priced at Dh15 when purchased before December 31. They will then cost Dh20 until March 20, when they will go up to Dh40.
