Dubai: Godolphin’s Hazard claimed her third success of the season and first black type victory when winning the Group Three William Hill Proud Miss Stakes at Morphettville, Australia, on Saturday.

The five-year-old Flying Spur mare, who is trained by brothers Lee and Anthony Freedman, came with a well-timed run inside the final furlong to peg back old adversary Miss Promiscuity for a three-quarter length victory.

Multiple Group 1 winning jockey Ben Melham was aboard the Darley-bred Hazard, who was notching the ninth victory of her career from 24 starts.

Hall of Fame trainer Lee Freedman commented: “Hazard has been knocking on the door to win a black type race and deserved this very good win. I cannot really fault her.”
