Dubai: The Dubai International Equestrian Conference, held under the patronage of Shaikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance, has been hailed a big success.

The conference was staged under the slogan of ‘Dubai, the Heartbeat of the Equestrian World,’ and organised by the Royal Equestrian Club Dubai, official partnership with the Dubai World Trade Centre and Dubai International Horse Fair.

The conference, which was held in conjunction with the Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship, discussed many equestrian issues.

The speakers highlighted the endurance and the future of Arabian horses, and many other topics contributed to strengthen the presence of the ancestral sport,

Highlighting the third day was the discussion of ‘Are the Arabian horses breeds in danger?’ and ‘Ways of developing the races & Arabian horses activities.’

Mustafa Ali Bin Ahmad Amshan, Conference Chairman and CEO of the Royal Equestrian Club Dubai, expressed his happiness for the great success achieved by the First Edition of the First International Conference, He added that the event achieved its objectives as it offered solutions for problems facing the equestrian world,

Mirza Al Sayegh, Director of the Office of Shaikh Hamdan said: “The conference was successful by all standards, and provided a great service for the equestrian industry in the UAE and around the world.”

He said during his speech while attending the third panel discussion session, that the support of the UAE and Gulf Rulers, helped to save the Arabian horse breeds.

“The Arabian breeders succeeded in persuading the (jockey clubs) in Europe and America to recognise the Arabian races,” he said.
