Dubai: John Gower and Roman Kawczak shot a combined stableford score of 64 in the UAE final of the World Corporate Golf Challenge qualifiers at Jumeirah Golf Estates’ Earth Course over the weekend.

Second-placed Gareth Mordey and Aqeel Hemraj were separated from third-placed Miki Mirza and Sammy Eldin by a better back nine after both finished on 59 points.

Elsewhere, David Minchin and Chris Darnely won the GCC final with 59 points. Clinton Norris and Nathan Fisher finished second on 56 points ahead of third-placed Kristi and OB Sealey on 54 points.

The winning teams will be flown complimentary of Qantas to the World Final, which takes place at Otaivos Dunes Golf Club in Cascais, Portugal in July.
