Abu Dhabi: The Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Open (FBMLO) will offer an action-packed four days of fun, as world-class golf is partnered with a plethora of experiences, competitions, cuisine and much more for families and friends, organisers said on Wednesday.

Taking place at Saadiyat Beach Golf Club from Wednesday, November 2 until Saturday, November 5, the tournament will offer more than just golf with everything from fitness classes, sports clinics and five-star massage therapy to family fun, hospitality and food-and-beverage offers.

The Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy (FBMA), presenting sponsor of this first Ladies European Tour (LET) event in Abu Dhabi, will take to the Tournament Village to educate spectators about its ‘FBMA Youth Programme’ and how the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Open supports its aim of inspiring Emirati women and girls.

The Tournament Village will also showcase the rich history of the capital as Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority immerses spectators in a cultural experience of henna art, falcons and traditional hospitality.

Those inspired by the play on the course will be able to watch golf clinics with some of the world’s best, including legend of the women’s game and Solheim Cup captain Annika Sorenstam, and enjoying a host of inspiring player interactions at the LET Communications Hub. In partnership with the Emirates Golf Federation, free golf lessons will also be offered for all.

Budding young golfers can learn how to play the game the ‘cool way’ as the HSBC Future Falcons brings street golf to the village, while Kaptain’s Krunch will keep enthusiastic kids entertained with fun-filled activities to appeal to all tastes and ages, as well as serving a child-friendly brunch across a selection of food stations on Friday, November 4. Youngsters will also enjoy SNAG (Starting New At Golf), an interactive, playful introduction to the game for children aged five years old and above using sticky targets, plastic clubs and more.

The FBMLO is also a chance to get active, as the ITU World Triathlon Abu Dhabi offers the chance for spectators to see how their legs compare to the world’s best triathletes with the watt bike challenge. Continuing the active theme, ex-professional golfer-turned-performance-and-movement coach Claudine Foong, supported by athletic apparel company Lululemon, will be performing ELDOA and Myofascial Stretching Classes in addition to offering interactive Q and As for all.

In conjunction with the Marriott Downtown Abu Dhabi — FBMLO’s official hotel partner — Saray Spa will be presenting itself in the village offering express manicures and massage therapy to those in need of some relaxation.

Finally step into the village to see all that Etihad Airways, the national airline of the UAE and official airline sponsor of the tournament has to offer, along with other leading sponsors such as Al Masaood Motors and their collection of luxury automobiles.

The event is free to attend and more information is available from www.fbmladiesopen.com,on Instagram and Twitter (@fbmladiesopen) and on Facebook.
