Dubai: Mercedes-Benz will again be the official car of the Omega Dubai Desert Classic, putting the global automobile manufacturer at the forefront of an ambitious drive to stimulate the growth of golf in the UAE and across the region.

Gargash Enterprises, the authorised general distributor of Mercedes-Benz in Dubai, Sharjah and the Northern Emirates, will roll out a fleet of luxury SUVs through SIXT rent a car to chauffeur marquee players and officials to and from the tournament.

The Official Automobile Partner of The Masters in Augusta as well as the Official Patron of the PGA of America, which boasts the Ryder Cup and the PGA Championship in its portfolio, Mercedes-Benz has a long history of supporting professional golf.

“We are excited to continue our integral role as the Official Car with the region’s premier golfing event, which has played a key role in positioning Dubai as a major golfing destination,” said Ivo Alexander Kapitzki, the General Manager of the Passenger Cars Division at Gargash Enterprises.

“As golf is one of the fastest growing sport in the region, our collaboration with Golf in Dubai harmonises well with our brand values of fascination, perfection and passion, providing us with a unique opportunity to connect and engage with customers, many of whom love to golf,” he added.
