Asif scored a match-high 25 points while Roger added a vital 22 points as ANF All-Stars cruised past Imperial Knights 95-69 to win the Berry Hills 12th IBS Basketball League for men last week.

Mohammad Shijas (18 points) teamed up with Subin Sam and Johnny Cherian with 14 points each, but that never seemed adequate for the Imperial Knights.

The All-Stars finished the opening period at 22-13, but were taken aback in the second period as the Knights matched their score at 19-19. However, the All-Stars pulled away in the third with a 21-15 margin to finally lay their hands on the title after outscoring their opponents 33-22 in the final quarter.

In the Womens division, the Patriots beat DPS Sharjah 51-42 for the crown. Soumya led the scoring for the Patriots with 32 points helping her team lead 23-14 at half-time. The Patriots further consolidated their lead to 17 points while coming away 18-10 in the third quarter and an identical scoreline in the final quarter to walk away easy winners.

IBS patron and CEO of GRP Industries Suneel Aggrawal was joined by Prem Kumar, Corporate Advisor, Jaleel Holdings and Preetha Prem Kumar in presenting the trophies to the winners after the finals.

Michael K. Michael, former basketball coach of The Indian High School, Dubai who is leaving the UAE was also felicitated at the final.
