Match to catch

David Moyes will be the centre of attention at Everton on Sunday, as the Manchester United boss takes a team to Goodison Park for the first time since ending his 11-year stint as Toffees boss last summer. So far, the move hasn’t worked out as well as the Scotsman hoped, with United requiring more major surgery than first thought and Everton hitting new heights under Roberto Martinez. It was the Spaniard’s side who took the points at Old Trafford earlier in the season and they will be keen to repeat the trick as they bid to bounce back from their midweek defeat by Crystal Palace. Prediction: Everton 2 United 1.

Keep an eye on

Fans will get a taster of what’s to come in the FA Cup final when Hull City host Arsenal at the KC Stadium on Sunday. Both teams survived a scare on their way to winning their respective semi-finals last weekend and might be keen not to give too much away. Unfortunately for Arsenal, however, they have no room for manoeuvre in the race for the fourth Champions League place and nothing less than three points will be good enough. But, just like at Wembley next month, being underdogs could suit Hull perfectly. Prediction: Hull 1 Arsenal 1.

For the purists

It’s Big Sam Allardyce meets Tony Pulis as West Ham tackle Crystal Palace on Saturday, which usually means plenty of long balls and physical challenges and not much quality. But to be fair to the pair of ‘old-school’ managers, they’ve done extremely well to get their teams to the comfort of mid-table when relegation might have been expected, but that doesn’t mean the neutrals will be flooding to tune in to this one. Prediction: West Ham 0 Crystal Palace 1.

Showing form

So Liverpool did get their victory over Manchester City last weekend and are now in pole position in the title race, but this weekend’s trip to Norwich is when the pressure really gets cranked up. Captain Steven Gerrard gave a passionate on-pitch pep talk after last week’s win as he knows how important it is not to waste that result. Liverpool will be a touch vulnerable, but they can be thankful they’re up against a down-on-their-luck side like Norwich, where they won’t have to be at their best to claim victory – and Luis Suarez does have an incredible 11 goals in four games against the Canaries. Prediction: Norwich 1 Liverpool 2.

Need a win

Two poor results in the last week have left Manchester City relying on others slipping up if they are to reclaim the Premier League title. As the Blues aren’t playing West Brom until Monday, they could be nine points off the top by the time they kick off. All they can do now is win their matches and hope Liverpool and Chelsea slip up. Prediction: Man City 2 West Brom 0.
