Dubai: Organisers of the Dubai Open need 100 volunteers to marshal the Asian Tour season-ending event at The Els Club from December 18-21.

All necessary training and course familiarisation will be provided to newcomers. Those interested can register at www.dubaiopen.ae or www.golfindubai.org. Preference will be given to volunteers who can commit to two or more days.

Mohammad Juma Bu Amim, vice-chairman and CEO of Golf in Dubai said the role of a marshal was vital. “The role of volunteers is crucial in continuing to showcase Dubai as the city of golf, as we strive to make the inaugural Dubai Open the most successful tournament on the Asian Tour.

“With the support of the Els Club management, we are spending a great deal of time to make sure the course is in perfect condition and that we have the best players available for the event. The assistance of the volunteers is vital to the success of an event, and we are calling on the UAE golfing community as a whole to play their part in ensuring we put our best foot forward.”
