James has enjoyed great success on the PDC circuit over the past decade since leaving behind his former profession as a mechanic to become a full-time darts star.
The left-hander’s first major title came at the 2007 World Matchplay in a tournament which has also seen him reach five other finals during a run of success which has been bettered only by Phil Taylor in the prestigious Blackpool event.
Wade is also a two-time winner of the World Grand Prix and UK Open, a former Premier League champion and winner of The Masters in 2014, when he produced an epic comeback from 9-2 down in the final to defeat Mervyn King 11-10.
A competitor in all three previous years of the World Series of Darts, Wade reached his first final in 2015 at the Perth Masters, where he was defeated in the final by Phil Taylor.
