Gary enters the 2016 World Series of Darts as the reigning World Champion after retaining darts’ biggest title at Alexandra Palace in January, defeating Adrian Lewis in the final to follow up an amazing nine-dart finish during his 6-0 semi-final win over Jelle Klaasen.
Anderson had won his first World Championship title in January 2015 by defeating Phil Taylor in an epic final, while he also won his second Premier League title last year by seeing off Michael van Gerwen in the Play-Offs.
The Scottish star had initially made his breakthrough by winning the International Darts League and World Darts Trophy titles in the Netherlands in 2007, and claimed his first major PDC title in the 2011 Premier League, to cap a famous debut season.
Last year saw Anderson make his first appearance on the World Series of Darts circuit to mark his success in returning to the sport’s elite following a run of success which saw him take 12 tournament wins during 2014 and 2015.
