Dubai: More than 430 cyclists have already registered for the second of four build-up rides ahead of the Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge, which will take place on December 12.

Nearly 420 turned up for the first build-up ride held over 35km in September and entries are still coming in for the next hit out on Friday, which will be over 45km at the Nad Al Sheba cycle track.

The Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge started in 2010 and attracts cyclists from all over the world. This year more than 2,000 are expected to enter.

The build-up rides increase in distance each time in preparation for the full 92km race, with the third ride on October 31 on a 65km course and the final one on November 28 over 85km, both at the Dubai Cycling Course.

All the details about the next build-up ride are on the Facebook page Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge. Registration costs Dh50 and closes on Tuesday. Registration can also be done on the day from 5.30am.
