Dubai: After Suresh Raina, it’s Rohit Sharma - one of the ‘eligible bachelors’ of Indian cricket team - who will tie the knot. The stylish middle order batsman and captain of Mumbai Indians team has got engaged with Ritika Sajdeh, whom Sharma has known for the last six years.

Posting a cozy selfie on his Twitter account, the elegant right-hander has written: ”From best friends to soulmates, couldn’t get any better.” No date for his marriage has been fixed yet.

According to reports in the Indian media, Sharma proposed to Sajdeh at the Borivili Sports Club on March 28 - an unlikely venue for a hotshot Indian cricketer but the hub where he started playing cricket as a 11-year-old and dreamt of making it big. Sajdeh, the Mumbai-based 28-year-old, is a sports marketing professional who has handled Sharma’s account for Cornerstone - a marketing and event management company ever since they took him on board. The company handles the portfolios of the likes of Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, Dinesh Karthik, tennis star Sania Mirza and squash player Dipika Pallikal.

Raina got married to his childhood friend Priyanka Chaudhary on the eve of IPL VIII at Leela Palace Hotel in New Delhi. Karthik and Pallikal, incidentally, got married last year.
