Chicago: Derrick Rose returned to his home court on late Saturday, helping Team USA to a 95-78 win over Brazil in an exhibition tune-up contest for the World Cup of Basketball.

Anthony Davis scored 20 points and Rose added seven in his first appearance at the United Centre arena since he suffered his most recent season-ending knee injury on November 22.

In the past three seasons, Rose has suffered a torn meniscus in his right knee and a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. Rose was cut in the face early in the contest, but returned to the game late in the second quarter.

His NBA Chicago team added Pau Gasol in the off-season and together they are expected to lead the Bulls into the playoffs.

Tiago Splitter led Brazil with 16 points on Saturday.

The United States was playing without stars Kevin Durant, who left the team recently, and Paul George, who suffered a horrific injury during their training camp in Las Vegas. The World Cup of Basketball begins later this month in Spain.
