Dubai:
The New Indian Model School (NIMS),Sharjah, will be hosting the 17th NIMS Inter-School Mini-Basketball Tournament for under-13 boys from January 26 to February 3.
Fourteen teams registered for the annual tournament. This mini-basketball competition was introduced by NIMS, Sharjah, in 1997 to commemorate the Golden Jubilee celebration of India’s independence.
The matches will be held on league-cum-knockout basis with the top two teams from each pool qualifying to the quarter-finals.
Pool A: Our Own, Warqa; NIMS, Dubai; DPS, Dubai and St. Mary’s, Dubai. Pool B: GEMS Modern Academy; Ambassador, Dubai; Westminster, Dubai; NIMS ‘B’, Sharjah; Pool C: Model School, Abu Dhabi; Emirates National, Sharjah; Apple International, Dubai. Pool D: Indian High, Dubai; NIMS, Sharjah ‘A’; Our Own, Sharjah.
