Dubai: Imperial Knights rolled over Dubai Heats 100-81 to book their place in the semi-finals of Berry Hills 12th Indian Basketball League held at the Salah Al Deen indoor hall.

Sidharth Singh led the Knights with a game high 41 points, while steady support flowed in from Mohammad Shijas Backer and Kunal Vohra with 16 points apiece, while Bichu and Shankar scored 29 and 27 for the Heats.

Beatrice Sports Club went down 55-66 against ANF All Stars, but recovered well with a 60-57 win against the Pond Parkers to keep alive their hopes for a semi-final berth.

All Stars led 30-27 at half-time and extended their lead in the third quarter while outscoring their opponents 21-11. Beatrice fought well till the final whistle but managed to tilt the score 17-15 in the last quarter with Siddique Razak (18) and Milton (15) among the main scorers for All stars, while Hanan Nisar topscored with 18 for Beatrice.

In another close match, Pond Parkers led 15-14 and 17-16 in the first two quarters against Beatrice, but fumbled in the third quarter after being outscored 9-16.

With the score tied 54-54 with two minutes remaining, Beatrice’s topscorer Hanan Nisar chipped in two baskets to ensure victory for his team. Mathew Alexander topscored for the losers with 20 points and Kishore Ramu added 17 for Pond Parkers.

In another exciting match of the Womens Division DPS Dubai got the better of Patriots 56-50 with DPS leading 29-24 at half-time. Both the teams scored 13 points apiece in the third quarter, while DPS outscored their opponents 14-13 in the last quarter to squeeze through.

Meher Majeed excelled for DPS Dubai with 28 points and Agnes Davis converted 20 points. For the Patriots, Roshny (17), Soumya (14) and Klarissa (12) were among the scorers.
