Los Angeles: Rookie Cody Bellinger belted his 39th homer as the Los Angeles Dodgers clinched their fifth straight National League West Division title with a 4-2 win over the San Francisco Giants on Friday. Bellinger hit a three-run homer in the third inning off Giants pitcher Jeff Samardzija. He broke a tie with Wally Berger (1930) and Hall of Famer Frank Robinson (1956) for the most homers hit a by National League rookie in Major League Baseball. Pitcher Rich Hill drove in the other run and allowed a run in six innings, for the Dodgers who clinched while winning for only the seventh time in 27 games and while ending a nine-game losing streak at home.
