Dubai: High levels of interest have led organisers Nike and the Dubai Sports Council (DSC) to extend the registration period for ‘We Run Dubai’ until December 12.
Held under the patronage of Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the DSC, the 10-km run is part of the global Nike ‘We Run Series’ hosted by 14 cities across Europe, Latin America and Asia. It is scheduled for a 7.30am start at Downtown Dubai on December 19.
Nike has been holding a series of ‘Dawn Runners’ sessions across Dubai for the past three weeks. This Friday’s run will begin at 5am from The Montgomerie grass lawns and proceed through Emirates Hills. Those wishing to participate can register at www.nike.com/events-registration/event?id=6054.
There are also Nike+ Run Clubs across Dubai, with a 7pm start at The Palm Jumeirah track every Sunday and at DIFC Gate Building at 7pm every Tuesday.
