Dubai: The UAE will be fielding teams in three major regional competitions this year.

The decision to compete in the fourth GCC Women’s Championships in Muscat from March 8 to 18, the second GCC Beach Games in Qatar from April 3 to 16 and the second Gulf Games in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, from October 17 to 28 was taken by the board of directors of the UAE National Olympic Committee (UAE NOC) at a meeting at Emirates Towers on Monday.

The meeting was headed by Abdul Rahman Al Owais, Minister of Health and UAE NOC Vice President, Mohammad Hilal Al Ka’abi, UAE NOC Vice President, and Mohammad Al Kamali, UAE NOC General Secretary.
