Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Harlequins Rugby Club’s ten-week summer touch rugby series will start on July 3 at Zayed Sports City.

Ben Crompton, the club’s spokesman for touch rugby, said: “We had over 200 people taking part in the last league which had a total of 19 teams participating.

“With no tackling, no scrums, just fast-paced and fun, touch rugby is the perfect way to keep fit and get you out the house through July and August.

“The ten-week touch rugby league will see action every Tuesday night from 7pm at the dedicated pitches at Zayed Sports City under lights so it will not be too hot.”

Those interested in entering a team (squads are a maximum of 12 with six on the pitch at any one time including one woman) or finding a team to play with as a single player, can visit the Abu Dhabi Harlequins Rugby Club website, email touch@abudhabiquins.com or call Crompton on 050 614 5199.
