Los Angeles: Singer-songwriter Robin Thicke has sold a house in Hollywood Hills for $4.9 million. The property had come on the market last summer at $2.985 million.

Located in the celebrity-popular Bird Streets area, the two-story home features living and family rooms, a dining area, a sound studio, three bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms in 3,158 square feet of interior space. A skylight tops the kitchen, which includes a brick oven.

High wood ceilings, paver floors and arched windows are among architectural details.

Decks with cityscape and canyon views expand the living area outdoors. Brick surrounds the swimming pool and spa.

Built in 1965, the house was purchased by his father, actor Alan Thicke, in 1990 for $910,000, public records show.

Robin Thicke, 38, has worked with such artists as Usher, Christina Aguilera and Mary J. Blige. He and Pharrell Williams were recently ordered to pay $7.4 million to Marvin Gaye's heirs, who claimed the pair's 2013 hit song, Blurred Lines, plagiarised Gaye's 1977 song Got to Give It Up.

Thicke recently divorced his wife of 10 years, actress Paula Patton.
