Shaikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice president and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai officially opened the Emirates Group Training College in Dubai. 1996 - His Highness Shaikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, officially opened the Emirates Group Training College and unveiled a plaque commemorating the event. The college is the first of its kind in the Middle East and a showpiece for both its facilities and its training excellence. Shaikh Maktoum was accompanied by Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE Minister of Defence, Shaikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance and Industry. Shaikh Maktoum was impressed by the technological sophistication of the college. Shaikh Mohammad stressed the importance of management, work and training.
