London: Love at first sight is not the sole property of the young. As you age, you are more likely to believe in love at first sight, an interesting study reveals.

Those who are middle-aged are 46 per cent more likely to believe in love at first sight than their younger 18-24 year-old counterparts, says a survey by DatingAdvice.com.

Men take a lead here. Sixty-one per cent of men believe in love at first sight compared to only 53 per cent of women.

According to the survey, done with 1,080 respondents, 67 per cent of those aged 35-44 and 64 per cent of those aged 45-54 believe in love at first sight.

“This is because those above 35 have more time to experience and evaluate the relationship and have greater clarity about what love means to them than those under 35,” study’s dating expert Rachel Drack said.

Only 50 per cent of single people surveyed believed in love at first sight.

Sixty per cent of divorced people and 61 per cent of married people also believed in the same, Examiner reported.
