Dubai: A list of the dead taken to a Pakistan hospital has been revealed on social media after 130 people were killed - 126 of them children - in an attack by Taliban militants on a Peshawar school.

The list from Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar was tweeted at 2.33pm UAE time on Tuesday by Twitter user @NavidAhmadKhan, who describes himself as a social scientist based in Pakistan.

The list gives the names and ages of more than 40 of the victims - most of them aged between 12 and 16.

The list carries the official seal of the hospital and is titles 'List of Warsak Road Army Public School list'.

Dr Imtiaz Khan, from Govt Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar, Pakistan, is working the accident and emergency department, told Gulf News: "35 dead bodies, mostly children have been released from the hospital, to their families. Currently the injured are being treated. He doesn’t have an exact number, will provide more details in 30 minutes."
