Gujrat: Shahbaz Sharif, the chief minister of Punjab, visited a Gujrat hospital to inquire about the health of a 10-year-old child whose arms were chopped off by a landlord.

Ghulam Mustafa alias Nomi had chopped off Tabassum Shahzad’s arms over a petty dispute with the boy’s father.

Aziz Bhatti Hospital immediately moved the child to the intensive care unit after news of the incident was aired by TV channels.

The police had earlier registered a case of attempted murder against the accused. Terrorism charges were later added against the landlord.

Mustafa allegedly beat up the boy and amputated his arms after a dispute with the victim’s father in Chak Bhawala in Gujrat on July 15.

As the news spread, Sharif took notice of the incident and ordered a report from top police officials.
