A father has filmed an incredible time lapse video of his daughter from birth to 14 years of age and uploaded it to YouTube. Frans Hofmeester’s remarkable film Portrait of Lotte begins with his newborn daughter and includes video filmed every week over 14 years.

“I filmed my daughter every week, from birth up until she turned 14 years old and then made this time lapse edit,” Hofmeester wrote in the video caption on YouTube. The video was published on April 10 and it set to music by Hollywood composer Mateo Messina, according to the YouTube caption.

It begins with a clearly newborn child again a backdrop of white, a feature which remains consistent throughout the film

Lotte soon begins to lose her baby looks, seen in the above screenshot at age two.

As his daughter ages, Hofmeester flashes up a number on the bottom right of the screen. Here is Lotte around her seventh birthday.

By the time she has turned 11, she is unrecognisable from the baby she once was, apart from one or two features, most noticeably her eyes.

By the time the four minute video ends, Lotte has turned 14 and is sporting braces. But there is a promise of more to come from her father.
