Dubai: The Shaikh Zayed Housing Programme has approved the names of 1,369 citizens, the second batch of beneficiaries, for a housing grant valued at Dh1.15 billion.

The SZHP had announced last week the names of 753 beneficiaries for the Dh1.15 billion grant, bringing the total to 2,163 beneficiaries.

The second batch of approved names includes approvals for housing loans and grants, varying from assistance for building new homes, completing the construction of a home, maintenance, and more.

The names of the beneficiaries were approved during a meeting chaired by Dr Abdullah Bel Haif Al Nuaimi, Minister of Public Works and Chairman of SZHP. The approval is in line with the wise directives of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan to provide Emirati families with suitable housing, and was implemented under the close follow-up of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, who is keen on providing Emiratis with suitable housing, ensuring their happiness, and securing for them an advanced infrastructure that meets their needs.
