Dubai: Can’t find a shaded spot to park your car during summers?
Do you wish you had an umbrella for your car? Your wish might just have come true!
A UAE-based company is planning to launch "Car Umbrella" by the end of August.
It will be the first of its kind in the UAE.
Gulf News spoke to Walid Al Zarooni, chairman of W Capital Group, the agent for the product in UAE and Kuwait.
Zarooni said: “The umbrella is conceptualised and designed by a Chinese company. I learned about it at an exhibition, during a recent visit to China.”
The umbrella is of two kinds — automatic that is managed by a remote control and a manual option. He refused to divulge details of the materials comprising the umbrella, as it was a “trade secret”.
Zarooni thought this would be perfect device to cope with UAE weather.
According to him: “Summers here are too hot, and it is important to protect your car from the heat. Such a product is well suited in the region.”
He added: “Even during occasional rains that UAE sees, this product is useful. It can also keep cars free of bird dropping stains.”
