Dubai: Blowing dust, sand and high temperatures have been forecast across the country today, with the weather bureau warning the public of poor visibility.

Temperatures will also continue to be “hot to very hot in general, while humidity levels are forecast to ramp up in the evening.

The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) has advised that fresh southeasterly and southerly winds will blow across the country today, Wednesday, causing visibility on roads to drop to less than 1,500 metres at times.

However, there is a chance that rain will again hit some parts of the country this afternoon, as the amount of clouds are expected to increase over some eastern and southern areas.

“Light to moderate winds in general, freshening at times during daytime, may cause blowing dust/ sand over some exposed areas,” the weather bureau said.

Maximum temperatures will hover between 44 degrees Celsius and 49 degrees Celsius in internal areas, and between 42 degrees Celsius and 46 degrees Celsius along the coast.

Weather conditions have been unstable this week, with "rain and hail" reported in remote areas on Tuesday afternoon.
