Dubai: The cooler weather with rain that has been hitting the eastern coast this past week has finally arrived to Dubai and the northern emirates.

Although weather forecasters did not report any rain on Tuesday morning, the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) said that the level of humidity has gone down to 35 per cent – a positive change from the 90 to 95 per cent humidity range that has affected UAE residents since mid-June.

The lowest temperature recorded was 25.9 degrees Celsius at 3.45am, near the Jais mountain.

While the UAE’s internal and mountain region will remain hot, partly cloudy and hazy throughout the day, the eastern area will have clouds with a high chance of rain by the afternoon.

Southeasterly to northeasterly winds will blow across the country, at a speed of 35 to 40 km/h, which may carry some of the convective clouds from Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah over to the nearby emirates.

The NCMS said it expects maximum temperatures to also slightly decrease, with a range of 42 degrees Celsius to 46 degrees Celsius in internal areas, 44 degrees Celsius to 49 degrees Celsius in internal areas, and 35 degrees Celsius to 39 degrees Celsius in the mountain area.
