Dubai: Residents woke up to heavy fog that blanketed parts of the Emirates from early morning on Friday, reducing visibility to a few meters on certain roads, motorists have reported.
The National Center of Meteorology & Seismology (NCMS) had earlier forecasted “a chance of fog formation" on Friday, the start of weekend in the UAE.
The police had also warned in a Tweet about fog covering some areas of Dubai on Friday morning.

For the rest of the day, however, weathermen expect a fair weather to partly cloudy over some areas, especially northwards.
"The relative humidity will increase by night and early morning times over some coastal and internal areas," according to the NCMS.
