Dubai: The sun is shining again over most parts of the country on Tuesday morning after almost two days of rain that saw many areas waterlogged and some parts cast in white in a blanket of hail.

The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) on Tuesday morning said on its official Twitter account that there is still a chance of rain, especially the interior, northern and eastern areas, where it may be thundery at times, with fresh winds and low visibility.

The thunderstorm peaked from late Monday evening to pre-dawn Tuesday, accompanied by heavy rain, lowering temperatures to around 12 degrees Celsius.

NCMS continues to warn the public against heading out to the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea as both will remain rough on Tuesday.

The unstable weather is due to the low pressure coming from the Mediterranean region, which intensified and affected the weather of the UAE and the region.
