Dubai: Rainy weather in the country is likely to prevail until this weekend. Bouts of rain lashing Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi from Tuesday evening are expected to last till Friday, according to the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS).
It hasn’t ruled out lightning and hailstorms as well. “The chance of rain is expected to continue on Thursday, especially over the northern and eastern regions. The amount of clouds will ease gradually from Thursday night and Friday morning, with the probability of some rain over northern and eastern regions,” an NCMS spokesperson told XPRESS.
On Wednesday morning, traffic on several roads in Dubai and Sharjah were severely affected due to accidents.
The NCMS has advised people to avoid wadis and take extra precautions during the wet conditions. The national body has also warned people against venturing out to sea as it will be rough during this period.
