The National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) raised the "orange" (be prepared) alert due to hazardous weather as fog/mist formation seen in the central and south western parts of the country.

The heavy fog reduced road visibility down to few hundred metres across in the affected areas, including Al Ain International Airport, Al Minhad, Khalifa College in Al Ain and Sweihan, said forecasters.
