Dubai: Residents welcomed the fresh summer rains in Dubai and neighbouring Sharjah on Friday. The morning drizzle lasted a few minutes in the morning.

Weathermen also expect clouds to form in the afternoon over some areas, especially southern and eastern areas, which may then bring some rainfall.

Forecasters said moderate winds could also kick up blowing dust and reduce visibility in certain areas during the day.

Sea is slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf.
