Dubai: Weather forecasters are expecting hotter and hazier days ahead as humidity levels will continue to rise until Friday.
The National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) predicted that even though the weather across the country will generally remain partly cloudy and dusty at times, “there will be a relative increase in humidity during the night and through Thursday early morning, particularly over coastal areas.”
Temperatures during Wednesday is expected to range from 37 to 40 degrees Celsius with a level of humidity at an average of 28 to 75 per cent, according to the NCMS. Over the next few days, the centre predicted that the levels of humidity will rise slightly higher with an average of 80 per cent on Thursday and Friday.
The sea will be calm with moderate waves in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea, although turbulent waves are expected for Friday afternoon.

The centre’s forecast also alerted residents to expect large cloud formations on Wednesday afternoon in the eastern mountainous areas, accompanied with light to moderate winds.
The nation will be affected by south easterly winds with a speed from 10km/h to 22km/h, while wind speeds are expected to pick up slightly by Wednesday evening with north easterly gusts from 15km/h to 30km/h.
Coping with high humidity
Drink lots of water and natural fruit juices (avoid caffeine and alcohol).
Avoid spicy food. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, as they contain natural fluids.
If you don’t have air-conditioning keep the blinds closed, the shades drawn and the lights off.
Wear a hat, sunscreen, and light loose-fitting clothing.
Never leave a child or a pet unattended in a car.
