Dubai: Coastal areas, especially in the northern part of the UAE, will continue to experience humid conditions over the next three days.

The mercury is back in the 39C to 44C range for maximum temperatures along the coast, but with increasing moisture in the air, especially at night, residents in the cities of Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah and the northern emirates will continue to experience discomfort.

Sharjah will see humidity levels rising to 92 per cent by Monday evening, while Dubai will have 88 per cent and Fujairah 85 per cent.

Temperatures are still highest in internal areas of the country, with highs of between 43C to 48C.

Moderate-fresh northwesterly to westerly winds blowing at 18km/h to 25km/h, reaching 35km/h at times, may kick up dust and sand in internal areas, reducing visibility in exposed areas.

Motorists are advised to drive with caution. as more dust clouds are expected on Tuesday and Wednesday over the western region, and extending to eastern parts including Sweihan, Al Ain, and Al Dhaid in Sharjah.

Forecasters are also expecting rain clouds to form over the mountains on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon.

The Arabian Gulf will be rough on Monday, becoming rough to moderate on Tuesday and Wednesday, while the opposite is expected in the Oman Sea on the same days.
