Dubai: Prepare your sunscreens and refreshments if you plan to stay outdoors this Eid Al Fitr weekend as it will be hot in general and slightly hot and humid at night beginning Friday.

Friday’s weather will be hot in general, sunny but partially cloudy during daytime with the expected maximum temperatures inland to be between 44 and 48 degrees Celsius. Over the coast and in the islands the mercury will hover between 36 degrees Celsius and 43 degrees Celsius, according to the weather forecast for the Eid holidays by the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology.

Those who want a slight respite from the summer heat may head to the mountainous regions in the eastern part of the country such as Fujairah as it will be slightly cooler than the rest of the country there at 30 degrees Celsius to 36 degrees Celsius.

Southwesterly to northwesterly wind will bring light to moderate and freshening breeze at times of during the day with a bit of scattered clouds.

By Friday evening, temperatures are expected to drop to 28 degrees Celsius to 33 degrees Celsius over internal regions and 29 degrees Celsius to 33 degrees Celsius over the islands and coastal regions but relative humidity will increase contributing to the discomfort many will feel due to humid conditions. Western coastal and internal areas may experience fog formation early Saturday morning.

Beginning Saturday, the eastern part of the country may have low clouds near the mountains that may become rain clouds by late afternoon.

The Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea will be slight to moderate during daytime and will gradually become rough by evening beginning Friday.
