Dubai: A drop in temperature is expected in the UAE as fresh northwesterly wind blows towards the western region, while convective clouds could bring rainfall to country's north-eastern parts on Tuesday afternoon.

Meanwhile, weathermen also raised a yellow alert offshore in the UAE moderate to rough waves are expected on the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea.

The National Centre for Meteorology (NCM) predicts a drop in temperature westward, while fresh winds especially over the sea could bring blowing dust over exposed areas.

On Monday, Fujairah received light to moderate showers on Monday afternoon as the rest of the country were affected by haze and dust — a pattern that may continue on Tuesday.

Light to moderate rain was recorded in Al Bidya in Fujairah as well as Khor Fakkan in Sharjah.
