Dubai: Weathermen have cautioned residents on another bout of back-to-back dusty and foggy weather conditions on Monday and Tuesday. The temperatures on Sunday ranged between 38-42 degrees Celsius,

Monday morning will be partly cloudy and, at times, hazy weather caused by southeasterly to southwesterly winds will give way to northwesterly winds by noon, according to the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology’s weather bulletin.

This wind, coming in from Saudi Arabia, may reduce visibility due to suspended dust particles in the air, forecasters said. Dusty conditions may prevail over scattered areas across the country, especially the western parts, but sparing Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah.

Fresh to strong winds loaded with dust and sand coming in from Saudi Arabia covered the whole country on April 2, making the UAE’s skies appear Mars-like and brownish-orange.

Forecasters said temperatures may significantly drop to between 20 degrees Celsius and 30C on Monday night in the western part of Abu Dhabi, which may then gradually affect temperatures over internal areas as well. They could range between 25-20 degrees Celsius.

Weathermen said the country may be blanketed in fog or mist on Tuesday morning, with still a chance of dusty and sandy conditions over the western part by day.

The Arabian Gulf will be rough on Monday and Tuesday while the Oman Sea will be moderate on Monday and slight to moderate on Tuesday.
