Abu Dhabi, Dubai: A dust storm kicked up by strong winds is like in eastern and southern areas of the UAE, weathermen cautioned on Tuesday.

The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) has urged motorists to be cautious, reduce speed and leave enough distance between vehicles because of a dust storm caused by winds.

Heavy fog formation was seen in the north-eastern and western parts of the country. In a statement on Tuesday, NMCS said that the weather will be fair in general, partly cloudy and hazy at times.

Some cloud formation is expected over some eastern and southern areas.

Temperatures tend to rise gradually.

"The relative humidity will increase during night and early morning times over some coastal and internal areas, with a chance of fog and mist formation, especially westward. Sea will be moderate in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea," the agency's statement added.

The statement said that on Wednesday and Thursday, the weather will be fair in general, partly cloudy and hazy at times.

Cloud formation is expected over some eastern and southern areas, with light-to-moderate winds in general, freshening at times. 

The relative humidity will increase during night and early morning over the coastal and internal areas with a chance of fog and mist formation, especially west wards.

Sea will be moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.
