Dubai: Wind packed with dust may reduce visibility in the western region and interior parts of Abu Dhabi and Dubai starting this Thursday, especially over exposed areas.

Visibility was reduced to less than 2,000 metres over exposed interior areas on Thursday afternoon due to gusts kicking up dust.

Friday’s weather will be generally hazy and partly cloudy over some areas, according to the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology’s weather bulletin.

Residents who wish to enjoy the outdoors may head to the eastern part of the country in the mountainside to enjoy clear weather and cloudy skies.

Moderate to fresh winds will blow dust over Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, Dubai which may, at times, reduce horizontal visibility in exposed areas.

A respite from Monday and Tuesday’s hot to very hot weather is forecast as temperatures will range between 39 degrees Celsius and 47C on Friday.

Saturday will be mostly clear but sunny, with temperatures ranging from 38C to 47C.

The Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea will be rough to moderate on Friday and moderate to near normal on Saturday.

Relative humidity will increase during night and early morning over western coast may cause mist or fog in the western region.
