Dubai: In a big city, the simple act of kindness and politeness may not be easy to find.
But despite having a stressful job and braving Dubai’s notorious traffic jams every day for a living, one taxi driver went out of his way to be generous.
And it was all caught on tape.
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai posted a video of the taxi driver – an Al Arabia Taxi Company employee – on its social networking sites.

Mattar Al Tayer, director-general and chairman of the Board of Directors of RTA, honoured the Al Arabia Company Taxi driver for his respectable efforts, for carrying a person of determination from the sidewalk to his taxi, then helping his mother carry the wheelchair into the vehicle.

Al Tayer praised the employee's humanitarian initiative, which comes in accordance with the principles that the RTA strives to instil in its employees, and stressed that, “this behaviour inspires trust on the part of RTA customers towards the services provided by the Dubai government, and encourages commuting via taxis in Dubai.”
