Dubai: In its 95th Open Auction, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is offering a range of striking licensing plates in two-, three-, four- and five-digit codes.
The auction, which will be held in Al Ameera Ballroom, Grand Hyatt Hotel in Dubai, on May 6 offers 80 eye-catching plates. Registration of interested bidders starts this Sunday and continues for a week.
Sultan Al Marzouqi, director of Vehicles Licensing, RTA Licensing Agency, said: “RTA’s auctions witness huge footfall from various community segments as they contribute immensely to realising our strategic goal of bringing happiness to people. We are therefore keen to make the forthcoming auction another chance for the public to engage in positive bidding for their fancied numbers in various codes.
“About 80 plates will be on offer in the forthcoming auction including binary numbers highlighted by (O 69), triple numbers topped by (W 999), quadruple numbers featured by (P 4444 and O 6666) and quintet plates such as (S 66666 and K 88888). During the auction, the RTA will conduct a draw on Plate (H 624) and offer it as a gift to one of the attending bidders as part of endeavours to realise RTA’s 3rd Strategic Goal: People Happiness.
“Interested bidders can register in RTA’s Customers Happiness Centres at Umm Al Ramool, Deira, and Al Barsha. They can also register through RTA’s website (www.rta.ae), or Drivers & Vehicles app. To complete registration, the bidder has to have a traffic file in Dubai,” explained Al Marzouqi.
Registration for the auction will remain open until the day of the auction, and bidding will start at 4.30pm.
