Dubai: A host of products, services, recreational means and tourist destinations, such as Dubai Ferry, Water Bus, Water Taxi, Burj Khalifa, Atlantis Aqua Park, Helicopter, Safari and others, may soon be accessible through a single iVenture card, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) revealed.

The authority’s Public Transport Agency in Dubai has inked a cooperative agreement with the iVenture Card International Company to boost marine tourist transit services, which include the ferry, water bus, and water taxi.

“The cooperation with iVenture Card, intended to uplift and promote tourist products in a creative manner, is to ease the experience of mobility and travel,” Abdullah Yousuf Al Ali, CEO of Public Transport Agency, said. “Such services are offered at affordable rates to enable users to enjoy tours exploring iconic landmarks of the emirate.”

The agreement is to achieve RTA’s two strategic goals: people’s happiness through providing marine tourist transit services and financial sustainability, he said. People’s happiness can be realised through the provision of creative marine mass transit means, and financial sustainability through augmenting revenues of marine transit means, reducing costs, and realising the partnership between the public and private sectors.

Wisam Shaiban, general manager of the iVenture Card International Company, said: “I’m pleased and honoured to sign this agreement, which I hope will be a step in the way of broadening joint cooperation between iVenture Card International and RTA, especially in the marine transport sector. This cooperation would bring back numerous benefits to our company, which is seeking to expand internationally. Moreover, working with a leading elite entity such as RTA in Dubai would boost the profile of our company in terms of offering tourist services in general, and services provided to riders of marine transit modes in particular.”
