Dubai: An Asian man, 51, was killed and two others were injured in a traffic incident involving two trucks and a pick-up truck on Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Road on Tuesday morning.
Major Ali Al Naqbi, on-duty officer at Search and Rescue Department, said the incident took place in the early hours, adding that rescue units rushed to the scene to cut out the two people injured and transport them to hospital.
“The driver of the pick-up truck died upon impact at the scene due to the severity of the crash,” he said. “We urge people to be careful while driving to safeguard their lives and the lives of others.” He added that people should abide by traffic rules and speed limits to avoid such tragedies.
