Abu Dhabi: One person died and five others were injured in a six-vehicle pile-up in Abu Dhabi on Sunday.
According to police, the accident occurred due to tailgating and a lack of attention on the road while driving. The accident happened before the Musaffah community bridge on the outskirts of the Capital.
Lieutenant Dr Musallam Al Junaibi, director of the Major Accident’s Investigation Section in the external road traffic department of Abu Dhabi, urged motorists to exercise caution, follow traffic rules and abide by speed limits. He also urged motorists to strictly avoid tailgating and taking their eyes off the road even for a moment.
